Bargaining Committee Report (UPDATE 1)

The State of Indiana and most surrounding states require your employer to give you a return to work date. I coordinated this yesterday with labor relations because they were not aware of their obligation. We are not your employer that is why we can’t inform you first. It has now been sent out on General Motors ANS Alerts. If you have not received it your return to work date for the first week is MARCH 30th 2020. We will continue to coordinate this with the company so that each week you will have an accurate return date while filing for unemployment. Do not apply before March 22nd 2020. Please pass this on and if you have not enrolled in our new STAY UP TO DATE texting system, get with it! We apologize that some of this info got out late. You have to realize that GM changed direction 5 or 6 different times in the last two days. That is why some locals had to put retractions out because the company changed positions between Thursday night and Friday morning. We appreciate your patience and professionalism throughout these trying times. We are strong and we will survive
